ed is not so much a blues singer but more a “bluesifier” of songs. Tapping into his love of the Arts, 1970’s and being Northern, Ged has conjured up and distilled his life story into his new album, “Regular Man”.

Well established on the British blues scene, Ged’s now pushing the boundaries of the genre, carrying a lifetime of influences with a real contemporary feel, to a wider audience. Signed to Bad Monkey Records and supported by Help Musicians, Ged is spreading his music far and wide.

Based in Cheltenham, Ged (that’s Jed with a G by the way!) grew up in Manchester, a city with a great musical heritage and he carries that northern grounding wherever he goes. Influences span Lightnin’ Hopkins, Miles Davis, Gil Scott-Heron, Santana, Bob Dylan and everything ever since oh yes!

On stage armed with an acoustic guitar, harmonica and a soul as big as the moon, expect an upbeat intimate show of good vibes, honesty and a touch of laconic humour from this Regular Man. Having toured the nation, jammed the blues clubs, hit the festivals and played gigs spanning the globe from Chicago to Singapore, Ged is now making his mark.
